Self Esteem Definition: One's personal evaluation or view of self, generally thought to influence feelings and behaviors. One's personal successes, expectations, and appraisals of the views others hold toward oneself are thoughts to influence this personal appraisal

Components of Self esteem
Self Esteem has two component: feeling that you are lovable is the first one. Feeling that you are competent is the second one.

Low self esteem: It is a negative view of yourself, when you have low self esteem you feel unworthy.
Belief . According to the dictionary a belief is an affirmation, or the acceptance of a fact, opinion, or assertion as real or true, without immediate personal knowledge. It is also defined as a partial or full assurance without positive knowledge or absolute certainty.
Self Concept. An individual's perception of self in relation to others and the environment.
Self conscious. Being aware of oneself.
Self care. A conceptual model of nursing , also known as self care deficit theory of nursing, develop by Dorothea Oem. Actions that individuals initiate and perform on their own behalf in maintaining life, health and well-being.
Self pity. A mental defense mechanism involving self-blame, negativism, feelings of rejection. worthlessness, hopelessness or isolation.
Loving yourself. Embracing yourself with the quiet heartfelt conviction of knowing that you are all right just as you are. Feeling deeply in your own hearnt, the quiet , steadying fgift of your own intelligent love.
Self Critisicism. Speaking badly about yourself and in general, evaluating yourself in a negative manner.
Self Blame. Being absolutely sure that whatever's gone wrong is yuor fault. It is choosing to blame yourself rather than the ordinary changing vicissitudes of life or the people who are actually at fault, for whatever has gone wrong.
